The Pacific Northwest coastline is home to a surprising variety of marine snails in all sorts of shapes. Some large whelks stretch over 8 inches (20 cm), while a tiny pear-shaped marginella is just a fraction of an inch. This print features a number of coiled marine snails from both the intertidal and subtidal zones, laid out in a graphic format to showcase the amazing structures of their shells.
